Clemson will be missing a big-play threat in its Chick-fil-A Bowl matchup with LSU on Dec. 31.
Coach Dabo Swinney suspended wide receiver Martavis Bryant after failing to satisfy academic requirements, the school announced Tuesday night.
Bryant, a sophomore backup, has 10 receptions this season but averages 30.5 yards per catch, the highest average in FBS. Four of his 10 catches have resulted in touchdowns.
Swinney did not comment on the suspension.
