Update: Paul agreed in principle to a five-year, $107 million deal with the Clippers on Monday, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Recommendation: The drama, or lack thereof, has been stifled, as the worst-kept secret of free agency has now come to pass. Paul now has his preferred coach, Doc Rivers, in the fold with the Clippers, which of course implied that he was sticking around. It remains to be seen if Paul and Blake Griffin can come to a consensus under a new scheme, after displaying visible frustration with each other during the 2012-13 season, but if anyone can get the two on board, it's Rivers. Expect the Clippers to factor into the top of the Western Conference hierarchy for seasons to come.
