Chris Kaman, Jodie Meeks spark Lakers by Suns

In a tremendous all-around performance, Chris Kaman put up 28 points and recorded 17 rebounds and 6 assists to help the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns, 115-99. The Lakers had an impressive game shooting the ball from the field in this one, going 44-83 (53.0%). Los Angeles (25-48) picked up the win after falling to Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.

Kaman went 13-19 from the field, in a solid performance. Other key players for Los Angeles included Ryan Kelly with 17 points and 5 rebounds, Kendall Marshall with 13 points and 11 assists, and Kent Bazemore with 12 points and 6 rebounds. On 8-19 shooting, including 3-9 from behind the arc, Gerald Green put up 22 points off the bench for Phoenix in the loss. Marcus Morris chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds.

The Suns posted an eFG% of just 42.9%, including 22.2% from 3-point range. This year, they are 1-6 when they record marks below 45% and 30% in those respective categories. On the other hand, the Lakers are 7-5 when holding their opponents to such low percentages.

This defeat means an end to a six-game winning streak for Phoenix, pushing their record to 44-30 for the year.
