Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade carry Heat by Kings
Chris Bosh scored 25 points and recorded 8 rebounds to help the Miami Heat easily get past the Sacramento Kings, 122-103. The Heat shot really well in this game, finishing 51-83 (61.4%). Miami (20-6) has now won four straight games.
Bosh finished 11-16, in a quality performance offensively. Other top contributors for Miami included Dwyane Wade with 20 points and 5 rebounds, Ray Allen with 18 points and 5 assists, and LeBron James with 18 points and 8 assists. DeMarcus Cousins had another strong performance for Sacramento in the loss, putting up 27 points on 11-15 shooting from the field and 5-8 from the free throw line. He also recorded 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Rudy Gay contributed 14 points and 6 rebounds and Isaiah Thomas finished with 11 points and 7 assists.
As expected, the offense of Miami was able to find success (67.5% eFG%) against a defense for Sacramento that has had its struggles, ranking second-worst in the NBA at forcing missed shots (52.9% opponents' eFG%). Along with their eFG% of 67.5%, the Heat connected at a rate of 43.5% from 3-point range. On the season, they are 8-1 when they record marks above 55% and 40% in those respective categories. Conversely, the Kings are winless (0-8) when allowing their opponents to reach those percentages.
Sacramento (7-18) has now dropped their last three consecutive games.
