Update: Andersen, who is an impending unrestricted free agent, will likely remain with the Heat in 2013-14. On Wednesday, executive Pat Riley relayed, "We love Chris Andersen and we want him back."
Recommendation: Andersen, who was working out at the team's practice facility Wednesday, came to the Heat on a 10-day contract on Jan. 20 and remained on the squad for the remainder of the championship run. In 20 playoff tilts, he averaged 6.4 points (on 80.7 percent shooting), 3.8 boards, and 1.1 blocks in 15.2 minutes. Because he provides a 6-10, 228 frame, something that is not common on the roster, his services will certainly be welcomed for a full campaign.
