Chevrolet releasing Texas Longhorns Silverado edition

Now this is a tailgating machine.

Want to show up to a Texas Longhorns tailgate in burnt orange style and Longhorns graphics without settling for an off shade or messing with an aftermarket paint and graphics job?

For a special type of Texas fan, the Thursday news that Chevrolet will release a special UT Longhorns Silverado edition comes as extraordinarily welcome. Why settle for the new Texas Nike Lunar TR1s to carry you around the stadium when you can have the Longhorn wheels to carry you to the stadium?

"The special-edition Silverado is a natural fit for Chevrolet in Texas, where a Longhorn fan lives in one out of every three households, and those fans are almost twice as likely as average consumers to buy a truck," said Sandor Piszar, Chevrolet director of truck marketing.

On sale in October just in time for the big conference run, the Longhorns Silverado will carry a $795 price tag and feature 20-inch wheels, bed-liner, and Texas Edition badge. The truck features a Sunset Orange Metallic paint job, chrome sidesteps, and a white stripe on the bed with the Texas logo in burnt orange and another white Texas logo on the tailgate

Back in August of 2013, Texas, IMG, and Chevrolet announced a sponsorship agreement that made the Silverado the official truck of Texas Longhorns and the Texas Exes, as well as of Bevo, the official mascot.

So, Texas fans, is there going to be a big burnt orange purchase in your near future?
