The Chevrolet K5 Blazer first showed up in 1969 as a competitor for the Ford Bronco and the International Scout. In 1982, the Blazer name was given to an S-10-based midsize SUV. But in 2005, Chevy finally killed it off. Now, more than a decade later, the Blazer might be ready for a comeback.

That's what Automotive News thinks, at least. Its spy photographers recently caught Chevrolet testing a midsize SUV that looks like it would slot between the Equinox and the Traverse. And according to their sources, it'll be called the Blazer when it heads to production.
