Former Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o, a second-round pick of the San Diego Chargers, was one of four draft choices signed to contracts by the Chargers, the team announced Thursday.
Getting a deal done quickly keeps the spotlight off Te'o, who has had more media attention than he wanted in the offseason.
The Chargers also signed wide receiver Keenan Allen, outside linebacker Tourek Williams and quarterback Brad Sorensen.
The Chargers have yet to reach a deal with first-round pick D.J. Fluker and fifth-round selection Steve Williams, although U-T San Diego reported that both will be on the field Friday for rookie minicamp.
