Channing Frye scored 30 points to help the Phoenix Suns beat the Denver Nuggets, 117-103. Phoenix (23-17) gets one in the win column after losing to Dallas on Friday.
Frye went 12-16 from the field (5-7 on 3-point attempts) in a strong performance. Phoenix also got solid performances from Markieff Morris with 16 points and 6 rebounds, and Goran Dragic with 15 points and 6 assists. On 6-9 shooting (2-4 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 5-6 from the free throw line, Anthony Randolph scored 19 points off the bench for Denver in the loss. Wilson Chandler contributed 17 points and 8 rebounds and J.J. Hickson finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Denver (20-20) has now dropped three straight to Phoenix.
Coming up, the Suns play the Indiana Pacers, who are 32-7 on the season. The Nuggets match up with the Portland Trail Blazers, currently sitting at 31-9 this year. The Nuggets have a 0-1 record against Portland this season.
