Central Florida's bowl ban for 2013 was rescinded after the school won its appeal of the NCAA ruling, multiple media outlets reported.
Originally, Central Florida was banned from postseason play in 2012, but that punishment was postponed until 2013 because of the school's appeal.
Now, it appears the school will not be banned at all.
Central Florida officials would neither confirm nor deny the reports, saying only that "we will hear from the NCAA on Monday on the status of our appeal."
The bowl ban was one of several sanctions levied on the Central Florida football program for major recruiting violations. The postseason ban was the only sanction appealed by the school.
Winning such an appeal is rare, according to the Orlando Sentinel, which reported schools have won only about 10 percent of appeals since a bylaw was changed in January 2008."
The reversal represents another setback for NCAA's enforcement arm, which has admitted missteps in its investigation of the University of Miami.
