The Cincinnati Bengals released cornerback Jason Allen on Wednesday after one season with the team.
Injuries limited Allen to four games last season. During his abbreviated year with the Bengals, Allen had two tackles on defense and one on special teams.
The No. 16 overall pick by the Miami Dolphins in the 2006 NFL Draft, Allen has started 23 games in seven NFL seasons and has 15 career interceptions (six in 2010 for the Dolphins and four in 2011 for the Houston Texans.)
