Coach Byron Scott had his 2013-14 option year picked up by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, according to the Plain-Dealer.
Scott, who replaced Mike Brown two seasons ago, has a 40-108 record with the Cavs. He took the job in June 2010 before knowing that LeBron James would leave Cleveland for the Miami Heat.
The Cavaliers drafted Kyrie Irving with the first overall pick after going 21-61 during Scott's first season. Irving has quickly developed into one of the league's top point guards.
