Catfish in glitter hat, eating penguin, hits ice before Game 4

NASHVILLE – At Nashville Predators games, it’s a tradition to have fans toss a catfish or two on the ice before the game.

Being that the Predators are in the Stanley Cup Final against the Pittsburgh Penguins, one assumed the fans would go beyond the norm.

Wrapping one in a commemorative T-shirt? Yeah, that’s cool. Wrapping one in a commemorative T-shirt with a glittery cowboy hat, and having this catfish eating a stuffed animal penguin?

Welcome to Game 4! Say hello to The Hatfish!

Or, as NBC notes, the Cat[Fish] In The Hat.

No word if local statutes consider a catfish eating a stuffed penguin as an Instrument of Crime” or just creepily adorable.

Have we mentioned lately how awesome it’s been having Nashville at this Stanley Cup Playoff party?
