Catcher Hill returns to Cubs in trade

The Chicago Cubs acquired catcher Koyie Hill from the Cincinnati Reds for cash considerations on Saturday.
Hill will be available for the Cubs tonight against the Chicago White Sox at Wrigley Field. Hill will wear No. 55 while Blake Parker will switch to No. 50.
The Cubs' 40-man roster remains at 40 players with the retirement of Kerry Wood.
Hill, 33, returns to the Cubs after spending all or part of the past five years in the organization (2007-11). He hit .208 with seven home runs and 63 RBI in 252 games with the Cubs during his first stint.
The switch-hitter batted .195 with three doubles, one home run and five RBI in 14 games with the Reds' Class AA Pensacola affiliate this season.
