In the latest installation of cats doing totally adorable stuff that puts a smile on our faces while the world goes to shit, we bring you this video of a cat meowing in its sleep. Unfortunately, the happily napping feline wasn’t wearing one of those fancy schmancy high-tech collars that give cats an actual voice so we have no idea what she’s meowing about, but we figure it’s something like “This is the best nap ever. Someone gimme a belly rub, right meow.”

Fine, feel free to side-eye the hell out of our unapologetic use of corny cat puns, but once you watch this video, we promise your jaded heart will regret judging us.

Posted on 10 Cats YouTube channel, the clip shows two striped cats in chill mode, including one that looks like it would love nothing more than some serious shut-eye, except it can’t because its lounge partner is acting like it drank too much before hitting the sack.

Um, or maybe that’s just us projecting our human tendencies onto this poor kitty. Either way, it’s cute and we have questions that go far beyond what prompted this cat to go into REM overdrive.

For example, how the hell do cats sleep this way? We’re used to seeing cats in weird positions, but this looks hella uncomfortable.

Then again, after observing the satisfied licking of the chops, maybe sleeping on top of its head is extremely comfortable:

Pardon us while we go find a cat to nap and cuddle with, preferably one that meows in its sleep.
