Carlos Boozer posted his 15th double-double this season, scoring 19 points and registering 12 rebounds, to help the Chicago Bulls beat the Phoenix Suns, 101-92. Chicago (24-24) picked up the win after falling to the Sacramento Kings on Monday.
Boozer shot 9-21 from the field. Joakim Noah contributed 14 points and 14 rebounds for Chicago as well. On 9-15 shooting (2-4 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 4-8 from the free throw line, Goran Dragic put up 24 points for Phoenix in the loss. He also registered 7 rebounds. Channing Frye added 18 points and 8 rebounds.
In addition to 28.6% from 3-point range, the Suns tallied an eFG% of just 43.8%. They are 1-5 on the season when registering marks below 30% and 45%, respectively, in those statistics. The Bulls, conversely, are 10-3 when holding the opposition to such dismal shooting numbers.
This defeat means an end to a five-game winning streak for Phoenix, pushing their record to 29-19 for the year.
Coming up, the Bulls play the Golden State Warriors, who are 29-19 on the season. The Suns match up against the Houston Rockets, currently sitting at 32-17 this year. The Suns have a 1-0 record against Houston this season.
