Update: Following up on initial reports, Spiller is expected to start and get a greater portion of the timeshare Sunday against the Colts, BuffaloBills.com reports. Said coach Chan Gailey: "C.J. will start, but we're still going to play Fred. It takes two. It does. So Fred will get quite a few snaps, but C.J. will start and get the majority of the snaps."
Recommendation: While Spiller won't have quite the free reign as he had last week in seeing heavy touches against the Dolphins, it sounds like he makes for a good start this week against the Colts and their 22nd-ranked run defense. The two biggest things to follow now that Jackson is close to full health will be: 1) What kind of goal line work will Spiller see, as it hasn't been too favorable much of the season, plus Gailey seems to love Jackson's efforts in the red zone and if he's going to pick his spots to use Jackson, that may be one of them; and 2) If Spiller stays hot - he's averaging an insane 6.63 YPC this season - will the Bills stick with the plan they're eyeballing for Sunday?
