The NBA fined Milwaukee forward Caron Butler $15,000 for an obscene gesture during the fourth quarter of the Bucks' 105-98 victory over the Boston Celtics on Friday night at TD Garden in Boston.
The 33-year-old Butler apparently drew the fine for celebrating a 3-pointer that tied the score at 93 with 3:54 left. He finished the game with eight points and six assists, and is averaging 11.3 points in three games this season.
Butler is the second player to be punished for a similar offense this season. The NBA fined Brooklyn Nets reserve center Andray Blatche $15,000 for making an obscene gesture during a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
