Bryson Johnson scored 20 points and Mike Muscala had a double-double to help Bucknell cruise past Navy 69-54 on Saturday night in Lewisburg, Pa.
Muscala had 11 points and a game-high 19 rebounds as the Bison (19-4, 6-1 Patriot League) dominated the boards, outrebounding the Midshipmen 47-19.
Kevin Alter led the Midshipmen (7-16, 1-6) with 15 points, with all three of his field goals 3-pointers. Brandon Venturini and Worth Smith each added 11 points for the young Midshipmen, who had another cold shooting night, making just 32 percent from the field (19 of 60).
The Bison, meanwhile, made 47 percent of their shots (23 of 49), including 7 of 19 3-pointers.
Bucknell outscored Navy 13-4 to open the game and extended its first-half lead to 16 points on a 3-pointer from Johnson with 1:28 left in the half.
However, the Midshipmen, who shot just 30.3 percent from the field (10 of 33) in the opening 20 minutes, closed the first half with two baskets but still trailed 34-22.
The Bison stayed in control in the second half, leading by as many as 24 points.
