The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have benched starting quarterback Josh Freeman and have replaced him with rookie Mike Glennon, according to ESPN.

Glennon is a big pocket passer, a third-round draft pick from North Carolina State.

Freeman has struggled this season with his accuracy for the winless Buccaneers.

"He's done some good things and he's done some things that we'd like to change and he'd like to change," Buccaneers coach Greg Schiano said Monday when he said that Freeman remained the starter. "But it's the whole offensive unit. We need to be more precise. We need to be coached more precisely."
