Mike Glennon couldn't reach the end zone as he went 14 for 21 passing for only 180 yards, one pick and one fumble. Cam Newton put up better numbers for the Panthers, and ended up going 18 of 29 with 263 yards through the air, three touchdowns (2 pass, 1 rush) and two picks.
Bobby Rainey gained 63 yards on 17 carries. Vincent Jackson snagged three passes for 75 yards.
The Tampa Bay defense allowed 163 yards rushing and 263 passing.
Panthers tight end Greg Olsen churned out 85 receiving yards. After Newton, he was the top performer for Carolina.
The Buccaneers host the Bills (4-7) next week while the Panthers head to New Orleans to face the Saints (9-2).
