Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was to have a painful bone spur examined Friday on his left foot after the team arrived in Sacramento for Friday night's game against the Kings.
Bryant didn't speak with the media after the Lakers' 113-03 loss on Thursday night in Milwaukee and reportedly left the arena with a crutch. He scored 30 points, hitting 18 of 20 free throws, and had six turnovers in 36 1/2 minutes but made it through the game.
"Inflamed on me. I'll be all right," Bryant said, according to Yahoo Sports.
Bryant's latest medical problem adds to the a litany of Lakers injuries this season. Among the players who have missed games are Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol, Steve Nash and Metta World Peace, who underwent knee surgery on Thursday. Bryant was out earlier in the month with an ankle sprain.
The Lakers are fighting for a playoff spot, leading Utah by a half-game in the chase for the final Western Conference berth.
