The Boston Bruins reached an agreement with forward Tyler Seguin on a six-year contract extension through the 2018-19 season, the team announced Tuesday.
The new deal will bump up his average salary to $5.75 million over the six years.
Seguin was selected to play in the NHL All-Star Game in his second year in the league. He finished the 2011-12 season with 29 goals and 38 assists.
In his two-year career, Seguin has 40 goals and 49 assists during the regular season and five goals and five assists in 20 playoff games.
