Jason Pinkston was placed on injured reserve by the Cleveland Browns, who signed fellow offensive lineman Jarros Shaw from their practice squad.
Offensive lineman Bryant Browning was signed to the practice squad to fill Shaw's spot.
Pinkston missed Sunday's loss at Indianapolis after being admitted to a Cleveland-area hospital last week to be treated for a blood clot. Head coach Pat Shurmur on Friday declined to specify where the clot was.
John Greco started in Pinkston's place against the Colts and will likely continue to start on the left side moving forward.
"As a backup, he's been a guy that can play center, guard as well as tackle," Shurmur said last week.
