Browns match Jaguars' $42 million offer sheet for Alex Mack

The Cleveland Browns wasted no time matching the Jacksonville Jaguars' five-year, $42 million offer sheet for Pro Bowl center Alex Mack that he signed Friday, according to FOX Sports and ESPN.

They matched it hours after he signed the contract.

Mack can void the final three years of the deal and can't be traded.

Mack is due $10 million this year and $8 million each of the next four years. The first three years are fully guaranteed.

If the Browns, who probably should have made Mack their franchise player instead of their transition player, hadn't matched, they would have received nothing in return for the former Cal standout.
