Browner suspended indefinitely
Seattle cornerback Brandon Browner has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL for violation of the league’s substance abuse policy, NFL Network reported Wednesday night. Under league rules, Browner can apply for reinstatement after one year.
Browner, 29, was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He will now miss the remainder of the season. He had appealed the suspension on the grounds that he missed tests while out of the NFL and playing in Canada.
