Louisville junior quarterback Teddy Bridgewater reportedly is considering returning to college next season even though he might be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
Former NFL scout John Middlekauff tweeted on Friday, "Multiple sources tell me Teddy Bridgewater has contemplated returning to school. No decision has been made at this point"
Gil Brandt, a former Dallas Cowboys director of personnel and a current NFL.com analyst, responded to that tweet by tweeting, "Told same 2 days ago by someone I trust. Would be shocked"
It would indeed be shocking if Bridgewater returned to Louisville for his senior season.
This season, Bridgewater has thrown for 3,523 yards, 28 touchdowns and four interceptions, while completing 70.2 percent of his passes.
Bridgewater led Louisville to an 11-1 record and a berth in the Russell Athletic Bowl against Miami on Dec. 28.
