NEW YORK (AP) -- Bridgehampton returned from a lengthy layoff with a 1¼ length victory on Sunday in the $62,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares at Aqueduct.
The 4-year-old took charge midway on the turn and opened up a commanding lead in her first start since finishing second last June in the Victory Ride Stakes at Belmont Park. She was under wraps through the stretch, logging her second win in four starts.
Kara's Match Point rallied from last to be second with Jonata, Bridgehampton's entrymate, getting the show spot. That gave trainer Mike Hushion a 1-3 finish in the feature while Jose Ortiz was aboard for his third win of day.
The entry paid $4.40, $2.80 and $3.20 as the 6-5 favorites. Kara's Match Point returned $6.90 and $4.60.
The time was 1:12.53 for the six furlongs.
