Update: Wilson (elbow) threw lightly for about 10 minutes Friday, Alex Pavlovic of the Bay Area News Group reports.
Recommendation: After throwing for the first time since his Apr. 19 Tommy John surgery, Wilson said, "It felt great." He made about 40 throws in the outfield grass from approximately 25 feet. Wilson even joked that the Giants should activate him, and while that's not going to happen anytime soon, it's good to hear he's progressing along. However, with Sergio Romo's success in the closers role, it's unlikely Wilson will reclaim that job next spring.
