Brian McCann: (Shoulder) Rehab Delayed By Wrist Soreness Staff

Update: McCann (shoulder) will have the start of his rehab assignment delayed at least a day or two by a sore right wrist, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Recommendation: After developing the soreness in his wrist, McCann returned to Atlanta on Tuesday to be examined by a specialist. GM Frank Wren said the injury is unrelated to McCann's October shoulder surgery, and McCann was set to test the wrist with a workout Wednesday. As long as he experiences no more setbacks, McCann could begin playing in extended spring training games by the end of the week in preparation for a rehab stint at Triple-A Gwinnett.
