Update: Anderson tossed 5.1 innings in relief before leaving Monday's 19-inning affair with an injury to the same ankle that kept him from starting the game in the first place.
Recommendation: Anderson's ankle injury must not have been too serious heading into the game, though it's possible that he made it worse Monday night. He pitched well, striking out five batters and allowing just one run over 5.1 innings. His next start is scheduled for Sunday in New York, though there is no guaranteed that he will be able to pitch. Dan Straily could fill in again if Anderson cannot go.
