Colorado State bolstered its backcourt late Friday night when the Rams announced the signing of Brazilian guard Enrico Bueno.
Bueno gives coach Larry Eustachy some much needed depth after the graduation of all five starters from last season and the departure of little-used guard Jordan Mason.
Bueno, a 6-foot-4 guard who played for the Brazilian national team and played high school ball in Florida, told Latin Basket website that he expects to see action as a freshman.
"My expectation is to achieve a fast adaptation. I know that for this to occur, I need to work hard the fundamentals, especially on defense, and improve more and more my long distance shots."
Bueno will see a familiar face when he arrives to Fort Collins. Another Brazilian, center Gerson Santo, averaged 2.1 points per game last year for the Rams.
