Atlanta Braves right fielder Jason Heyward left Tuesday night's game against the Washington Nationals with a strained neck.
The Braves confirmed the injury and listed him as day to day.
Heyward apparently was hurt during his at-bat in the first inning. He stayed in the game but was later replaced in the field by Evan Gattis.
The 23-year-old Heyward is hitting .234 with 10 home runs, 31 RBIs and 50 runs scored this season.
