Brandon Marshall couldn't help but poke a little fun at his teammate and scheduled starting quarterback Geno Smith.
"It’s been amazing to see this guy grow and really punch adversity in the face," Marshall said, via Newsday Sports.
Well, that's one way to encourage Smith.
The last time Smith was scheduled to start, he got into a locker room fight with former teammate IK Enemkpali, where Enemkpali broke Smith's jaw over alleged money owed.
With a new season and healed jaw, Sunday's game against the Ravens will be a test for Smith to see if he can retain the starting position.
During his only stint on the field this season, he completed 4 of 6 passes for 31 yards and one interception in roughly eight minutes of play during the Jets' 28-3 loss to the Cardinals last week.
