On 8-23 shooting (2-7 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 5-6 from the free throw line, Stephen Curry scored 23 points for Golden State in the loss.
Poor shooting (eFG% of 41.9%) combined with sloppy ball-handling (TO% of 18.3) proved too much to overcome for the Warriors. On the season, they are winless (0-2) when posting an eFG% of worse than 45% while also giving the ball away on more than 17% of their possessions. The Wizards are undefeated (2-0) when coaxing their opponents into such substandard offensive showings.
This drops Golden State (27-19) to 1-1 versus Washington on the season.
