COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) -- Andre Williams rushed for 263 yards to become the 16th player in NCAA history to top 2,000 in a single season, and Nate Freese kicked a second-chance, 52-yard field goal as time expired to give Boston College a 29-26 comeback victory over Maryland on Saturday.

Williams scored two touchdowns and now has 2,073 yards on the ground this year. His 36-yard run in the closing seconds set up Freese's game winner.

Freese was wide left on his first try, but a Maryland timeout gave him a second chance, which he put through the uprights.

That gave Boston College (7-4, 4-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) its fourth straight win.

Maryland (6-5, 2-5) took a 26-24 lead when Chase Rettig then threw to a wide open Alex Amidon for a 74-yard score.

The conversion was blocked, and Maryland's Anthony Nixon took it the distance the other way to tie it with 5:02 left.
