Boeheim gets 900th coaching victory

Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim got his 900th career win on Monday when the No. 3 Orange beat Detroit 72-68 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y.
Boeheim, 68, is just the third Division I men's coach to reach 900 wins, joining
Mike Krzyzewski (936) and Bob Knight (902).
Detroit Mayor Dave Bing, Boeheim's college roommate, teammate, and Roosevelt Bouie, a member of Boeheim's first Syracuse team in 1976-77, were in attendance.
Syracuse (10-0) has won 30 straight home games, the longest home winning streak in the country.
