The Charlotte Bobcats, who had the worst record in the NBA last season, picked Kentucky 6-7 freshman Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft on Thursday. It means Kentucky freshmen were taken in the first two picks. Kidd-Gilchrist is a high-energy player, who still needs to work on his outside shot. It's the first time in the modern era that teammates have gone 1-2 in the draft.
With the No. 3 pick, the Washington Wizard took Floria freshman Bradley Beal, a 6-5 freshman guard.
