Three days after being admitted to the hospital and having stents put in his arteries, Charlotte Bobcats coach Steve Clifford is back with the team and will coach the Bobcats in Monday's game against Atlanta.
"I was lucky," Clifford told the Charlotte Observer. "It was a warning sign and I've since been educated that a lot of people who have strokes or heart attacks don't get warning signs," Clifford said. "Also fortunate I had great doctors. They have a good plan for me, and I'm going to follow it and get better quickly."
Clifford missed Friday night's 101-91 loss to the New York Knicks after experiencing chest pains. Assistant coach Patrick Ewing served as head coach in Clifford's absence.
