The Chicago Blackhawks announced Saturday that they agreed to terms with defenseman Viktor Svedberg on a two-year contract.
Svedberg will remain with the AHL's Rockford IceHogs.
Svedberg, 22, has one goal and one assist in five games this season with Rockford. The 6-foot-8, 235-pound defenseman played six preseason games with the Blackhawks with six shots on goal.
The native of Sweden had three goals and four assists in 115 career games with Frolunda and Rogle of the Swedish Hockey League from 2009-13.
