Blackhawks G Crawford exits with injury

CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford left Sunday's game against the Florida Panthers at 13:45 of the first period with what appeared to be a lower-body injury.

The team announced in the second period that Crawford would miss the remainder of the game.

Crawford was defending the net when he went down on the ice and lay there sprawled out. He was helped to his feet and skated off under his own power, but at a very slow pace.

Backup goalie Antti Raanta replaced Crawford, who stopped all four shots he faced. The Blackhawks led 2-0 at the time of the goaltender change.

Crawford, 28, began the night 17-6-3 with a 2.50 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage in 26 games (24 starts).

Raanta, 24, was 2-0-1 with a 2.08 GAA and a .918 save percentage in four games (three starts) prior to Sunday.
