Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews, who missed the third period of Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals after taking a shot to the head, participated in the team's morning skate and declared he will play Monday night.
Toews left before the Blackhawks' 3-1 victory after he was hit in the head by the Boston Bruins' Johnny Boychuk. No penalty was called on the play and no disciplinary action has been taken toward Boychuk.
The Blackhawks visit the Bruins for Game 6. A Chicago victory will give it the Stanley Cup championship for the second time in four years.
"I feel great," Toews told reporters. "No questions about where I am physically. ... I feel 100 percent."
The Blackhawks only classified it as an upper body injury.
The team on Sunday said Toews would likely play Monday's game.
