Blackhawks' Bolland regrets retweet

Chicago Blackhawks center Dave Bolland admitted that he used bad judgment when he retweeted a post Friday from a fan who called for commissioner Gary Bettman's death.

The retweet was later deleted. It read: "can I get a RT for wanting Bettman dead?"

"It was a mistake, I never meant to retweet that out," Bolland told ESPN.com Saturday. "I like to retweet for a lot of my fans, and I just retweeted the wrong thing. I feel bad about it."

Bolland stirred up controversy last year when he called Daniel Sedin and Henrik Sedin of the Vancouver Canucks "sisters" and referred to the people of Vancouver as "weirdos."

The NHL on Friday announced the cancellation of games thru Dec. 14 and the All-Star game that was scheduled for Jan. 27 as the league-imposed lockout continues. No negotiations are scheduled between the NHL and the NHL Players' Association.
