Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Alan Branch signed a contract extension with the team Monday.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Branch matched his career best with his 35th tackle this season in Sunday's 19-0 win over the Miami Dolphins. He has fortified the Buffalo run defense, starting 12 of 15 games entering Week 17.
The 6-6, 325-pound lineman signed with the Bills as an unrestricted free agent on April 2.
Branch, in his seventh NFL season, has started 46-of-93 career games with 166 tackles (111 solo) and 8.0 sacks.
He spent the 2011-12 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks after entering the NFL as a second-round (33rd overall) draft selection with the Arizona Cardinals in 2007.
