The Buffalo Bills' mounting quarterback problems have prompted them to invite Matt Flynn to work out for them on Monday in a tryout, multiple media outlets reported.
The Bills' interest in Flynn, who was released by the Oakland Raiders last week, apparently began before Thad Lewis was injured during Sunday's overtime loss to Cincinnati.
Lewis, who was promoted from the practice squad to start Sunday's game for the Bills, injured his foot during the game. X-rays of the foot were negative, but he will have an MRI to determine whether he will miss any games.
Rookie Jeff Tuel was Lewis' backup on Sunday, and the Bills expect to be without E.J. Manuel for a few more weeks as he recovers from a knee injury.
Dennis Dixon was signed to the team's practice squad last week.
