Bellator 101 TV Ratings Hit Season High Peak Audience of 932,000 Viewers

Bellator 101 drew a slightly smaller overall audience on Friday, Sept. 27, than Bellator’s previous show, but also had an upside to its TV ratings.

While Bellator 100, on Sept. 20, averaged 700,000 viewers, Bellator 101 attracted an audience of 649,000 viewers, according to Nielsen TV ratings. That represents an eight-percent drop week-over-week, but still puts Bellator 101 well above the Season 9 average of 611,500 viewers per episode.

Bellator 101 may have represented a week-to-week dip overall, but it still hit a season high in peak audience. The show topped out with 932,000 viewers tuning in at its peak.

Bellator 101 took place at the Moda Center at Rose Quarter in Portland, Ore. It featured the opening round of the Season 9 Lightweight Tournament. The main event featured a bantamweight tournament semifinal bout between former featherweight champion Joe Warren and Nick Kirk.

Warren defeated Kirk via a modified keylock submission just past the midway point of the second round.

The promotion returns to Spike TV on Friday, Oct. 4, with Bellator 102, which features the promotional debuts of former UFC heavyweights Cheick Kongo and Lavar Johnson in separate heavyweight tournament semifinal bouts.
