The Bears signed veteran defensive tackle Amobi Okoye and released defensive tackle Brian Price.
Okoye, a first-round pick of the Texans who spent four years in Houston, played for the Bears in 2011. He signed with the Buccaneers in free agency but was released with an injury settlement on Friday. The Bears don't believe his nagging knee injury will be an issue.
Chicago dealt the Buccaneers a seventh-round pick for Price, a former second-round pick in 2010 who has battled injuries since entering the NFL while also dealing with the death of his sister.
