Baylor fifth in both major polls

The top four teams in both major polls, released Sunday, stayed the same, but Baylor climbed to No. 5 in the Associated Press media poll.
Alabama (8-0), Oregon (8-0), Florida State (7-0) and Ohio State (8-0) still make up the top four teams in the AP and USA Today coaches polls.
In the AP poll, the Crimson Tide received 55 first-place votes, the Ducks got three votes and the Seminoles the remaining two.
In the coaches poll, Alabama earned 55 first-place votes while Oregon received the remaining six votes.
Baylor (7-0) beat Kansas 59-14 and moved up a spot in the AP poll after Missouri took its first loss. The Bears stayed at No. 5 in the coaches poll.
Missouri, fifth last week in the AP poll and seventh in the coaches poll, dropped to No. 10 in both polls, after losing 27-24 to South Carolina.
South Carolina moved up from 20th to No. 14 in the AP poll and to No. 16 in the coaches poll.
Virginia Tech and Nebraska fell out of both polls. They were replaced by No. 24 Michigan State in both polls. Arizona State occupies the No. 25 spot in the AP poll and Notre Dame is 25th in the coaches poll.
