Right winger PA Parenteau is taking his offensive talents to the Colorado Avalanche.
Coming off a 67-point season with the New York Islanders, Parenteau agreed to a four-year contract, the Avalanche announced Sunday. TSN reported the deal could be for $16 million.
In two seasons with the Islanders, the 29-year-old Parenteau had 38 goals and 82 assists.
"P.A. is a skilled winger who will instantly improve our offense," Avalanche general manager Greg Sherman said. "He's a dynamic player who will help our power play and complement our young centers."
Parenteau came to the Islanders from the New York Rangers, where he had three goals and five assists in 22 games in 2009-10.
