Colorado Avalanche winger P.A. Parenteau will be sidelined about six weeks with an undisclosed injury, according to Colorado head coach Patrick Roy.
The Denver Post reported that an MRI indicated Parenteau suffered a second-degree strain of his MCL in his knee.
This is a significant blow to the Avs, who have won just one of their past six games.
Parenteau, 30, has nine goals and 15 assists in 38 games.
